Staff Supported Lunch Clubs

If you think of some of the pleasant things in life, good food and good company would be in there somewhere. At Search we are hosting and organising lunches across the west of Newcastle.

This is an important project for us at Search, we have listened to what people want and people tell us as they become older and less able to get out of their home without support, our staff supported Lunch Clubs provide that opportunity for people to socialise, enjoy good company and a nutritious meal and give them something to look forward to with safety net of knowing the transport is door to door.

“It is the highlight of my week, a reason to get dolled up, put my glad rags on and see my friends”.

Lunch Clubs

We have a traditional lunch club at Bishops Court in Slatyford. Held every Thursday from 11am to 2pm offering activities, exercise and a great lunch. The lunch at Bishop's Court has transport provided.

Buy and Bite

Buy and Bite combines an assisted shopping trip to a local supermarket with a shared lunch at the cafe inside. It's a great opportunity to get the shopping in and meet new friends over a meal. A minibus picks people up from their front door and returns them afterwards. An assisted shop follows to pick up the week's essentials at the supermarket.

Buy and Bite runs on:

  • Mondays to West Denton Morrisons
  • Wednesdays to Cowgate Morrisons

Book a place

There is a small charge for the door to door transport and the minibus begins picking up around 10.00 am.

If you’d like to come along to our lunch clubs or Buy and Bite please give us a ring on 0191 273 7443.
