Bollywood returns!

Last year’s Bollywood themed dance was such a success we have recruited a Bollywood Dance Tutor to take more classes. The monthly Tea Dance will be a little piece of Bollywood for the next few months. They will be a fun and gentle type of exercise that suits lots of different fitness levels.

The Bollywood Tea Dance takes place on the last Tuesday of the month from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm at the Robert Stewart Memorial Hall (The number 12 bus stops right outside) on Wingrove Road.
Bollywood Tea Dance starts Tuesday 29 March and the cost is only £1.

October 1st is International Older Peoples Day. Join us in a celebration and series of events hosted by Chain Reaction.

Search will be closed from 1 pm on Thursday the 24th of December and re-open on Monday the 4th of January.

Our usual groups will have a break over Christmas and return in the New Year. The only exception is the Tea Dance whcih will have a special Christmas event on Tuesday the 29th of December at Robert Stewart Memorial on Wingrove Road from 1,30 pm to 3.30 pm. Everyone welcome

 

Search is giving a taste of the activities we host in the west of Newcastle for people over 50..

Taking place at Fenham association of Residents (FAR) on Tuesday 1 March the day will give you an apportunity to try something new and maybe sign up for more,

The activities include:

Crafts 
Flower arranging 
Tai Chi 
Bollywood dance 
Ipads 
Hand massage

A buffet lunch is included too!

Search is organising a joint meeting with Healthwatch to help you have your say about health services in the west of Newcastle

On Thursday March 3 you have the opportunity to share your experiences and views about services like the NHS or social care for older people. In the Carnegie building (the old library) the afternoon commences at 12.30 with a free lunch. We will say what we think works and what doesn't work in the health and social care services people receive in Newcastle..All people over 50 are welcome and needed.
